3 IDIOTS REMAKE SHOOTING CANCELLED

While most outdoor shootings have been cancelled due to rain, the shooting of 3 Idiots remake in Telugu and Tamil have been dropped for various other reasons. The schedule for both Tamil and Telugu which was supposed to start on December 6, 2010, has been hit severely due to a recession of stars. First, it was Vijay who pulled out of the project citing date clashes with his other movie Velayudham.

Now, sources inform that Telugu actor Mahesh Babu, who was chosen for the lead role in the Telugu version  has walked away from the project as well. With the lead actors of both versions pulling out, the shooting has been cancelled. We will keep you posted on every latest development on this!

MOHANLAL IN BOLLYWOOD

Mollywood superstar Mohanlal and director Priyadharshan are teaming up again for a Hindi flick with the title ‘Tez’. Mohanlal is playing the role of Shiv Menon, the chief of British Narcotics Bureau in this thriller.

The movie that is progressing in Scotland has him in the uniform of a British cop armed with a bullet proof vest, and a machine gun. Action director of Bond movies, Gard Miller, is the action choreographer for ‘Tez’, who is with Lal making him move around like a Hollywood star.

‘Tez’ feature Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan Sameera Reddy and Kangana Ranaut in other lead roles.

Sharwanand doing a Murugadoss film

Actor Sharwanand who did two films this year ‘Prasthanam’ and ‘Andari Banduvaya’ in Telugu, both of which won accolades from critics for his performance has hit the jackpot.
Sources confirm that he has signed a movie with ace director Murugadoss for a Tamil film. Murugadoss directed movies like Ghajini, Stalin and was writer for blockbuster film ‘Tagore’.
Filmnagar sources tell us that Murugadoss liked the performance of Sharwa in ‘Prasthanam’ which got selected for Indian Panorama in the recent Goa Film Festival and hence signed a movie with him recently.
The maverick director is penning the script for this film which will go on floors from the next week. This flick will later be dubbed into Telugu too and is being jointly produced by Murugadoss and 20thcentury Fox.

After Vijay walked out of the Tamil version of '3 Idiots', its Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu planning to quit the Telugu remake of the Bollywood blockbuster. It is believed that the actor who has already committed his dates for Sreenu Vaitla's 'Dookudu' is finding it difficult to find time for Shankar's mega project.

Although the actor has given a valid reason to the filmmaker, Shankar is now in a soup because of his actors opting out of the project one after the other. But there is more to the story than what meets the eye. According to an industry insider, the actor is upset with the director who didn't pay attention to his request.

It is believed that Mahesh Babu reportedly told Shankar to not cast actors from the Tamil film industry. However, Shankar ignored the request and signed Jeeva and Arya that are popular Kollywood stars.

It is believed that director Shankar is still trying to convince Mahesh Babu to work his dates. Let's hope Mahesh Babu changes his mind and agrees to reprise Aamir Khan's role in Shankar's Telugu '3 Idiots'.

Censor Board to watch ‘Ragada’ on 17th December!

Nagarjuna’s forthcoming film ‘Ragada’ has wrapped up its post-production activities and the first copy of the film will be submitted to Censor Board for its certification on 17th December. Ragada casts Anushka and Priyamani in the leading lady roles and Charmi in a special song. The film is touted as a mass entertainer.

Veeru Potla has directed the film and D Siva Prasad Reddy produced it under the banner, Sri Kamakshi Enterprises. The music for the film scored by Thaman was already out in stores and tracks are reaching the top slots. Ragada is slated for a release on 23rd December.

Ram Charan’s ‘Merupu’ to gain additional lightening!

Ram Charan is back after a brief holiday and the shoot of his next flick ‘Merupu’ is likely to commenceshortly. Ram Charan is on his way to regain his mass image with Merupu under the direction of Dharani.The young actor is hitting the gym for high time in order to mould his body to suit the role in the film.

Sources say, ‘Merupu’ is said to gain an additional lightening with the entry of another big actor. It is known that Ram Charan is playing the role of a foot-ball player in the film and now, the makers are in search of an actor who will play the role of coach of this football team. Bollywood actor, Nana Patekar and Kollywood Action King Arjun are the names under consideration. Naga Chaitanya, Kajal’s film under shoot

Naga Chaitanya’s new film under the direction of Ajay Bhuyan is currently under progress. Ajay is being introduced to Tollywood with this film. Kajal Agarwal is playing Chaitanya’s lady love in the film. The film is being touted as an action entertainer with ample comedy. The team is presently shooting at Ramoji Film City.

This yet to be titled film is being produced by D. Sivaprasad Reddy on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner. The film was earlier shot in picturesque locales of Bangkok and Philippines.Other prominent cast of the film includes Samyuktha, Sriram, Mukesh Rishi, Kelly Dorjee, Rahul Dev and Brahmanandam.
