Rajamouli’s “Eega” with a low budget?

Rajamouli is a perfect commercial director who knows how to calculate the risk factors related to star cast, production values, marketing strategies etc. We all have witnessed…how rich his movies are so far. As per the latest buzz…It is now being said that, this maverick director is now planning to start the Eega” s shoot with a very small budget of Rs 6 Cr in hands. As S.S.Rajamouli himself have stated that his “Eega” is a sought of his dream project, which will contain excellent visual graphics. Now it turned interesting to see, how would Rajamouli handles the less budget given to him and brings the desired output.
But, the way Rajamouli gets out with bounded script and production calculations are evidential that, he is most calculated and capable director who keeps the same efforts irrespective of the budget and star heroes. Let us wish that ‘Eega’ brings up a new face in Rajamouli.
Let’s wait and see….how capable this “Eega” is…..!

How A Condom Saved My Life

For a guy who had boundary issues with human beings in general (till the first girlfriend happened) I was always aware about AIDS. Thanks to TV, movies and, ummm, my mother's women magazines lying around carelessly, I remember being curious about 'condoms' as far back as the time when puberty hadn't hit. And in my ever-insatiable quest for knowledge (also, without knowing any better), at the age of 11-12, I ended up asking my mother what 'condom' meant.
You can imagine how horrified and scandalised a mother would be, when her child, who had never even chuckled after reading endless Famous Five books featuring a dude called DICK, is asking what ‘condom' meant. Her child, who is in the SIXTH standard. In my defense, I was also apparently not old enough to understand what ‘genital' meant when I looked up the word ‘condom' in the pocket dictionary.

The condom incident

I don't remember my mother's exact reaction, but I think that's the age when she started telling other mothers about how ‘bachche kitni jaldi bade ho jaate hain'. But what I DO remember is that ever since that day, I have been terrified of getting AIDS. In fact, here's a true story: Some years after that ‘condom' incident, I found a girl stupid enough to want to kiss me. She was the first ever girl who had said that to me, not counting the time I was five years old, when I had pulled a girl's hair for kissing me.

Even though I found my way around the internet by the time, and knew who Pamela Anderson and Sharon Stone are (and why they are known), I was mortified at the girl's words. This is exactly what I was thinking: "HOW COULD SHE SAY THAT!!! WE CAN'T BETRAY OUR PARENTS!!! WE ARE JUST 14!!!!! IT'S SUCH A CRIME!!!! SHOULD I CALL THE POLICE? WHAT IF SHE GETS PREGNANT!! WHAT IF MY PARENTS FIND OUT SHE SAID THAT TO ME!!! I SHOULD CALL THE POLICE!!!”

The unprotected kiss

Okay, that may not have been EXACTLY what I was thinking, but I DID make a phone call after that conversation. To a friend of mine. This is EXACTLY how THAT conversation went (or not): "Dude, you know that girl who wanted to hold my hand the other day? Now she says she wants to kiss me. I'm scared, man. What will happen to me? Why does she want to do that? What's wrong with her? Okay so tell me, should I carry a condom with me… you know… for the kiss? Like what if I get AIDS, dude?”

I am not one to kiss and tell… and that's why I can tell you that OBVIOUSLY, that kiss did not take place. I never heard back from the girl when I mentioned ‘condom' to her. It's been quite a few years since that fateful moment, and the word ‘condom' has been used with much irony in my life since then, you know, since I… well, since I was in an engineering college. Where the only sex you get is when you get your examination answer sheets… oh no, wait, that's ‘rape'. Sorry, got confused!

But the climax (haha, see the wordplay here?) of this story is not whether I did or did not get to use the condom in its rightful place since then (or if I FINALLY know what its rightful place is). It is the fact that even when I had no idea where the hell I'll put a condom when kissing a girl, I still knew that I would not get AIDS if I used a condom.

It's not all funny

And I tell you this story today, because today, December 1, is World AIDS Day. On a serious note, here's a shocking fact: Over 5 million people died from AIDS in India this year, and have been dying in India since quite a few years. And most of them died because they were not aware of AIDS, or thought they were too cool and ‘macho' to use condoms. No, no one's going to give you a medal of honour for ‘taking it out just in time'. Trust us, that's NOT what we mean when we say, ‘stay raw'.

Don't be stupid – use a condom. Read up on AIDS, HIV, and also, on how condoms work, if you don't know. And most importantly, help spread the awareness. MANY youngsters still don't know about why AIDS happens and how they can stay safe. Join hands us with in educating people about the HIV virus.

Anushka's hot assets on Small Screen

Till some time back, the 'sweety' of Telugu Cinema refused to work as a brand ambassador for big-wigs from the state like Big C and Kalamandir. However, her curvaceous body is attracting more and more films her way and the actress learnt that she has cook her food when the fire is on. The mangalore beauty is setting the small-screen on fire with her new advertisement.

With every small heroine rocking the advertising circuit, finally curvaceous Anushka also entered the league. The sultry sex siren can be seen in the latest TV commercial of one of the top hair shampoo brand, Head & Shoulders. Though the sexy girl is not giving a hot dose of her assets for the commercial, the oomph factor of Anushka is driving the men crazy. Those who watched the commercial are saying that Anushka is mind blowing in a sexy red top with waterfall like hair that is turning-on like her other assets.

Acting! Who me? Never, says Ram Gopal Varma

New Delhi, Dec 5 - Filmmaker, singer and now author Ram Gopal Varma has left no stone unturned to prove his versatility, but if there is one zone this daring man dreads to enter, it's acting.

"I clamour whenever I see the camera (from the front) so there is no way that (acting) will happen. No. I will never act... ever," Varma, 48, told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

But that does leave scope for taking his singing debut further - he took to the mike to lend his voice to a song in the Telugu version of his two-part action-thriller "Rakta Charitra".

"No, No, No, No. It was just for one of the songs for the movie, that is it. I'm not doing it again," clarified Varma and pointed out, "And that was not there in the first part, but it is there in the second part."

Released Friday, "Rakta Charitra - Part II" is a trilingual in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Not many might have noticed, the blunt and on-the- face speaking filmmaker also made a debut as a narrator with the Telugu version of part one and continues his stint in the second outing too.

Starring Vivek Oberoi in the lead as slain Andhra Pradesh leader Paritala Ravi, it marks the Bollywood debut of Tamil superstar Surya as his nemesis Suri. Shatrughan Sinha, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Radhika Apte also star in pivotal roles.

The firsts, however, don't end here for Varma as the regular blogger and active Twitterati has also wielded the pen for what is being touted as an unconventional autobiography "Naa Ishtam" ("My Wish") in Telugu.

"It is not really an autobiography. It is a collection of my thoughts and stories behind how my films got made and those kind of articles. There is a lot of new stuff in it," he said.

If you thought this was it for the filmmaker - there's more. Varma's debuts don't end until the self-confessed Sridevi fan directs the "goddess of beauty".

"I'd love to direct Sridevi. There is no concrete subject that I have right now for her but that is something I have in the back of my mind," said the director, who dedicated his Bollywood film "Rangeela" to the actress.

But has he approached her?

"No. Not really... Not yet."

Talk of Varma and one can't evade the most obvious question - his love-hate relationship with filmmaker Karan Johar.

"There is nothing between us. We are just making fun. There is nothing else," he asserted.

But what about the constant potshots they take at each other?

"Let's leave it now. It's always the same answer I give and the same answer he gives and it comes out that we take potshots. We are bored to death with it now. Let's finish this matter off," he replied agitatedly.

Leaving everything aside, apart from his "affinity for hard hitting subjects" like crime, politics and horror, Varma is known for his expertise at simultaneously dabbling in multiple projects.

His platter as usual is full of "Phoonk 3", "The Business Man", "Department", "God And Sex", a remake of the Malayalam movie "Rajakeeyam" and two 3-D ventures of which one is titled "Amma". (IANS)

Mirapakai Audio Songs Download/listen

Starring :Ravi Teja, Richa Ganaopadhyay, Deeksha Seth
Music :Thaman
Director :Harish Shankar
Producer :Ramesh Pushpala
This film is ‘Mirapakaya’ in the direction of Harish Shankar on Yellow Flower Banners. Coming to the point, Raviteja might have acted with many top heroines in his career but now hot, fresh and tall beauties Deeksha Seth and Richa Gangopadhyaya in ‘Mirapakaya’ are known to be making him really sweat out for the role.
Deeksha Seth regarded as real masala of ‘Vedam’ and Richa, the natural sex oozing girl of ‘Leader’ have got much more to prove about their spice and ‘Mirapakaya’ is the big platform which is resulting in fears for Raviteja. Yes, they are too dominating than Raviteja’s natural body language.

Rakta Charitra is a flop!

Rakta Charitra is a flop!
Ram Gopal Varma’s biopic Rakta Charitra was released in two volumes in Telugu and Hindi. It was released as a single film in Tamil as Rattha Charithram. With Surya being the spearhead of the film, Ram Gopal Varma expected Ratha Charithiram to do well in Tamil as Suriya got a strong fan base in Tamilnadu.

However, going by the reports and reviews of Ratha Charithram, it can be assumed that this film is not well received by the Tamil audience. As the film is completely different from Suriya’s brand image, it is being out rightly rejected by fans and critics alike.

But Suriya’s performance is being lauded by one and all. Tollywood trade says that the talk of part 2 is not as good as part 1. People expected much more reality in this film but Ram Gopal Varma made a fiction flick with real life characters.

Mahesh’s 3 Idiots Called Off?

Mahesh’s 3 Idiots Called Off?
Much anticipated Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots is called off, says unofficial reports. Director Shankar wants bulk dates of Mahesh for this film and that will be almost impossible for Mahesh as he has given his dates to ‘Dookudu’ film.

Citing dates problems Mahesh moved out of this project, says grapevine. However, there were speculations about Mahesh’s dislike about starring in 3 Idiots remake as Shankar has roped in many Tamil actors. With the latest developments Mahesh has walked out of this project and so did Vijay, who is supposed to do the same role in Tamil version.

Vijay was reportedly asked to change his looks for this character and the actor didn’t oblige to that condition as he is starring in other films at the moment. Changing his getup will raise continuity problems for those films and he too walked out of 3 Idiots remake it seems.

Therefore, 3 Idiots remake was ‘almost’ called off until or unless they find apt replacements to these superstars.
